Background of event:

This festival takes place at Negril beach in Jamaica. It will therefore, take place in August every year on the 6th-8th, as this is the hottest time of the year as it reaches 35 degrees every day and the sun shines for 12 hours which will give you plenty time in the sun. This festival has been running for 11 years, and each year over 30,000 people attend for the whole weekend Friday-Sunday and 3,000 people attending just one day of the festival. There will be around 37 performers each day, which will be different ranges of genres. Such as, pop, hip hop, rock, rap, reggae, popular music and many more. There will be 3/4 poplar well known artist each day at the festival who will perform followed by the other bands and solo artist. Apart from the music there will also be multiple large tents which will contain things like tables and chairs for you to eat your meals or just have a drink, food and drinks, events and tickets stalls where you can buy and book different water sports to do in the day. Also, there are t-shirts/ jumpers which are sold which include the artists that are performing for that year. The artists will start playing around clock every day and each person will get a program telling them what time each artist is performing. This means that if you have two hours until you want to go down to the stage you can go to the event tents, play water sports or even go and have a walk around the Negril town.
